UTILITA WATER SOLUTIONS

Utilita Water Solutions (Utilita) is a joint venture between Ventia and Downer Utilities, and has been delivering electrical, mechanical and civil maintenance services for Urban Utilities since 2016.

Urban Utilities is one of the largest water distributor-retailers in Australia, supplying drinking water, recycled water and sewerage services to a population of more than 1.4 million across Brisbane, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Somerset.

Utilita carries out a range of work for Urban Utilities including; mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs at pumping stations and treatment plants, water and sewer mains and fittings maintenance, reservoir inspections and maintenance, and vegetation management

You may see our team in your community working as an Urban Utilities’ delivery partner.  We will always be in our Utilita uniforms and branded vehicles.  We will also carry authorised Urban Utilities identification cards.

Our depots are located at Eagle Farm and Archerfield.

The safety of our team and the communities in which we work is our highest priority.  Our safety culture is one in which our team pro-actively manages risks prior to commencement of work.  We also believe that people are at the heart of the solution to effective safety management.

Efficiency

Our parent companies of Ventia and Downer Utilities bring unrivaled depth and breadth of capability from 20 years’ experience in the water industry.  Collectively, Downer and Ventia have a number of water industry contracts in Queensland and key projects in South East Queensland.  This allows us to develop best practice across a range of contracts, ensuring we deliver maintenance tasks efficiently for Urban Utilities and its customers.

Customer service

Utilita works closely with Urban Utilities to minimise any disruption to customers whilst completing our maintenance service activities.  We ensure advance notice is given on the impact of our work, such as temporary water outages whilst working on the clean water network.

Utilita’s work ensures Urban Utilities customers continue to receive vital water and sewerage services to their homes, businesses, schools, hospitals and communities. We perform the following services:

WATER SERVICES

Utilita conducts planned maintenance for Urban Utilities on assets including:

Reservoirs

Water boosters and pump stations

Water network pipes and fittings

This includes inspecting and maintaining fire hydrants – a vital part of our community’s safety network.

SEWERAGE SERVICES

Utilita also provides planned and corrective maintenance on assets that collect, transport and treat sewage
such as:

Sewerage pumping stations

Sewerage pipes and access points such as maintenance holes

BUILDING AND FACILITIES

Our activities also encompass maintaining buildings and facilities and grounds, as required by Urban Utilities.
